Window Shopping

Sometimes (well, often times) I like to check out Net-a-Porter and other various websites to see what’s new in the world of good design. Many of the pieces are way out of my price range and so I call it “guilt-free window shopping” to gather ideas for when I’m out there in my “real world” trying to create a similar look or style. Here are a few goodies I’ve gathered lately and of course I’ve pinned these bad boys to my “Objects Of Desire” board on Pinterest. It’s like a shopping cart that will never be paid for but that I can visit time and time again. Oh wait. Those black horn earrings with the gold spears? I did buy those! On Asos. They are huge, tribal and were only $15. My kind of shopping.

Sass & Bide

With Spring Fever in the air, I’m keeping my eye on the shops for chic dresses that will keep in stride with Florida’s hot weather. Enter Sass & Bide via Asos. While they’re pricey, they’re beautiful nonetheless and if anything, they give me ideas for possibly DIY-ing my own versions. Here’s hoping for a sewing miracle!

Style Deets

Sometimes all it takes is getting in just a bit closer to appreciate all the little style details that make personal style so…well, personal.

HAPPY FRIDAY! Have a beautiful weekend. xoxoDree

F/W 2012: Wowed by GUCCI

If there is any one fashion house and/or designer who has wowed me so far during Fashion month  (New York, London, Milan, Paris), it’s Frida Giannini of Gucci. The prints, the luxe textures and the deep hues…my, oh my did she nail it. One of each, please?

F/W 2012: The Luxe Classics

Another element I thoroughly enjoyed seeing in the Fall/Winter 2012 shows was the richness of textures and colors woven throughout the designs. The strength in a look that pays tribute to classic fabrics and deep hues is undeniably what many of us are pining for come September. Bring on the velour, wool, faux fur and let’s layer on the chic factor, shall we?
